well it's been awhile since I've wrote on here but I've been trying to catch up on sleep and housework. Unfortunately, with the time change in effect yesterday was pretty hard on all of us. Dex was just crazy, needing a nap by 10am and fighting it. Cleese slept a lot but Dex was the one who should have. He didn't go straight to bed either, he was up and running around for an hour after lights out then bright and early up at 4:59am...i put him back in his bed 4 times and gave up at 5:42am. Meanwhile Cleese was still sleeping. there's something wrong when everyone in the house is awake before the baby!!!
have a very busy 2 weeks coming up between dr's appts, needles, and birthdays to plan for (hubby's and step-mother in law's) also xmas, my mom's retiring Dec. 31st, among other things like getting Dex to sleep longer, starting Cleese on solids, trying to loose weight (if I could sleep well at night maybe I'd be more motivated...nahh!), deciding on a hair cut, start my xmas baking and making xmas cards, taking a xmas pic of the boys for the cards...a mother's work load is never lightened!
*yawn*
This is a blog I started so I can vent about my boys and my everyday mishaps or mention the fun stuff so I don't always rant on my facebook profile.

child locking the baby's door
well I guess today was the last straw, after fighting with the baby for almost an hour then finally getting him to sleep about an hour after that Dex decides to go in and wake him up, "because he wanted to say HI to him" well there goes mommy's little break. thank god for our rain forest swing and Thomas the train, they are doing good at keeping him quietly entertained. Thomas the train gets extra credit for keeping both boys "quiet". so is it wrong that I want to put one of those door knob childproof locks on the baby's bedroom door...I guess we'll see!

can't believe I haven't been here in so long...
things have been hectic and my days seem to disappear right before my eyes....My youngest son is now 24 weeks and starting solids and it's been a whirlwind and a blast! That kids was meant to EAT! Dex had an awesome playdate last Wednesday and I got together with the girls Friday night to scrapbook, sooo much fun! Some good tunes, yummy snacks and white Russians! now that the new week is started lets see what it'll bring, today the sun's shinning so maybe we'll escape for awhile. BTW, started watching a mini series last night called Dead Set, it was aired in 2008. It's about a zombie outbreak and how the people from "Big brother" are secluded and don't know what's going on until a page makes her way into the house. only done the 3 episodes out of 5 but so far I'm really enjoying it!

Hand me downs
well, Saturday was my day...I got 4 boxes of hand me downs from my husbands aunt and out of those 4 boxes at least 2 of them were pajamas! yah! I officially have enough pj's that I could wear only jammies for the rest of the year and probably not wear a duplicate. :-)

awake sooo early!
well my 2.5 year old thought it was ok to get up this morning at about 5:15am. NOT OK! Would have been if he'd gone downstairs into the playroom and played but instead he went to the playroom and yelled for me to come play. UGGG! I was having such a good sleep too! luckily he didn't wake the baby so I got up to put "Elmo in grouchland" on for him and for me to drift off to sleep on the couch. until 7am when the baby woke up. not so bad but I'm sure by 10:30 I'm going to be needing a nap along with my 2 yr old. we've tried a few things but so far nothing is working. I've told him when the sun comes up he can get out of bed (no good, we bought a baby gate to put across his door but when he wakes up opens his door and sees the gate he screams and cries (definitely not good). I've offered to put an alarm clock in his room but then he thinks it's like a time out...I dunno what to do anymore!?! next on the list maybe "spiking" his cup of milk at bedtime! ;-) (as if).

movie night
well it was 8:30 pm both boys were in bed without a fight and I was ready to chillax...sooo I poured myself a tall glass of pepsi and a bowl or tostitos and homemade salsa, opened my firefox and went to my new vice:netflix. The movies aren't the best but they numb this mommy's brain. I watched "flight of the dead" and "strangers with candy", hubby made me a Caesar and then the internet broke. lol! I had 25 mins left of strangers with candy, I'll just finish it later. The boys slept decently last night and I got some sleep too! soon (maybe) I'll get a full night's sleep!?!?

Dexter and the crazy things he says...
yesterday he was telling us what road signs meant and I figured I'd share some with you. the little black guy (crosswalk) means healed and so does the red triangle (yeild). after trying to tell him what the crosswalk sign is as we were heading home I spotted one on the road so I asked "Dex what does that one mean?" and he says "the beer store" lol! I didn't really realize we were driving by the local liquor store, also didn't realize we go there enough for him to recognize it haha!
we're still trying to get a full night's sleep but it looks like it's not gonna happen anytime soon. Dex woke up last night when Cleese did :-/ luckily they both went back to sleep but I'm really missing my sleep. I end up staying up late scrapbooking and watching my "shows" that by the time I hit the hay I'm exhausted and awake every few hours for the boys...grrr! oh well blue's my color even if it is just under my eyes!

the weekend
had a busy weekend so it was a good one. discovering the way to keep Dex from being a pain in the bum is to keep him sooo busy! Sat we did supper at my mom and dad's, hubby and i made a huge lasagna, it was nice my little brother came home from Halifax. then sunday we cleaned the house but Dex was a help (by playing outside) and we had 2 visits one was auntie Kim and her family and then a friend Barbie and her "new" family, their little guy is 2 weeks old today. i dug out the halloween decorations and can't wait to start getting them up. but right now I'm gonna go make a pot of coffee and some breakfast...until later!

WOW! we made it out for a few hours!
I managed to get out this morning with a very good friend of mine, Robin. Her daughter is 1 day older then Dexter and we've been hanging around since the kids were 5 weeks old! She was my savior when we were on mat leave...i don't drive and she couldn't stand to stay home. we had so much fun we did so much stuff, swimming at the YMCA, apple picking, parent and tot sing alongs, not to mention all the walks and trips to the playground and lunches together. when she went back to work I was more upset then she was, and she was leaving her daughter (for 8 hours a day). I proved to Robin today that I don't get out enough. we went to chapters they have a new section for kids that's huge with toys and activities for them. While the kids were off causing mayhem, I got to stroll off to check out the book selection. OMG! they have Handy Manny books and Yo Gabba Gabba books and of course all the Thomas the train stuff you could imagine, but also Chuggington figurines (which I bought 3 for Dex, xmas shopping has official begun!). I was so amazed and Robin looked at me and said matter-of-factly "what they have books about the shows on TV that kids watch!?!?!" I was stupefied, I didn't know what to say...yeah I guess I haven't been out in awhile, LOL! anyways the kids were amazing so we treated them to a McDonald's lunch and a good 20 mins in the play area. now my boys are napping...AAHHHHH! I'm gonna sit back and enjoy my Tim Horton's coffee and relax!
When will we sleep again????
so at 4:15am I hear the quiet creak of a door knob turning, then a tiny voice saying something about "being awake", I promptly get up and put my 2 year old back to bed...3times before 5am when hubby woke up and put him back to bed again...meanwhile my youngest starts crying so here we are. It's 5am everyone's awake and if you're under the age of 3 you were crying. In total, I got out of bed 9 times in 2.5 hours by 6:30 I was like "F@^& it! I guess I'm awake!" I have a headache like I was drinking, and a cranky toddler to make it worse. I don't know what to do with him anymore...where is my perfect little sleeper? (since 2 and 1/2 months old sleeping 12 hours) I need to figure out a way to make him sleep through the night again...it started 2+ months ago....basically once Cleese started sleeping for a good 8 hours solid then Dex would wake up inbetween, so I still don't get a good night's sleep! *yawn*

well it's 8:48pm...
and I believe my boys are asleep...that wasn't an easy task let me tell ya. Dexter as always it's a chase to get him into pj's ( he's not like his mother, I've been in mine since 5:30pm.), then he wanted me to make his bed, filling it with endless amounts of stuffed animals and layer after layer of blankets which he refuses to sleep under. Then it was a fight about the fan, I don't want it he says, then 2 minutes later ( I'm rocking the baby to sleep) mommy I want the fan, mommy I want the door open, a glass of water, the blankets on...Cleese on the other hand can't get out of his bed...thank goodness! so I heard some crying then he settled and right to sleep...but how long until he rolls onto his belly and wakes up mad??? anyways, I have a few minutes to myself (before I pass out) so I think I'll take 'em by watching one of my favorite shows with my hubby: HOUSE...oh wait..where's my hubby? visiting a old friend...guess I may have to reschedule my appointment with Dr. House. :-/
hello there,
Hey, I have a blog about scrapping but I don't have the time to do it anymore. So I thought if I write a blog about my every day life and my boys, then maybe I'd blog more often.
so a bit about me first: I'm 29 have 2 boys aged 2.5 yrs and 5 months. I'm a stay at home mom, have been since day 1. I love to scrapbook (but can't find the time) I love to watch movies (especially zombie ones). I've titled my blog as "pajama wearing momma" because I wear my pj's almost all day, unless I'm going out, I don't do that-anymore.
so today was a decent day, the boys napped and entertained themselves more then usual. I actually got to clean my house. But not all days are "good" days for me/us. My 2 & 1/2 year old isn't sleeping like he used to, bye bye 12 hour nights hello 2am wake ups. My 5 month old isn't sleeping through the full night yet he's dependent on his soother (aka the plug) and he started rolling over last month. He sleeps on his back but wakes up on his belly madder then a hatter. Needless to say it's been 5 long months of "lack of sleep" and I'm starting to notice it's effects. it's almost bedtime for the boys now, so I'll be back...I hope! haha!
